Hardly worth the effort

  1. This article describes that in most fields, there's much more work put into the last ten percent of quality. For example getting your golf score from 77 to 70 is far more difficult than getting it from 120 to 113 or even from 84 to 77. It is the same thing when you try to loose weight. Being 150pounds and loosing 10pounds is much easier than already being 110pounds and want to get to 100pounds. What is really interesting about this article is that it mentions that the last ten percent is the signal that communicates expertise and professionalism, but most of us are busy doing the easy part. The article concludes by saying that a good professional is the one that seeks out and does what other people believe doesn't worth the effort.
